The tables in 490 Hodson Hall will be full of interesting fungi. Bring in your mushrooms and learn how to identify them.
More fall mushrooms, including those from the Wild River State Park Foray on September 24
"Organic cultivation methods of Pleurotus ostreatus on agricultural bi-products". Ben is a student in the Environmental Horticulture department at the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Science at the U of M. His talk will tell us about his research on the biology, cultivation methods, and financial aspects of growing the oyster mushroom.
Bring in your favorite mushroom dish to share with all. One of the highlights of the year!
We will be viewing and judging contest entries by our members. Everyone is invited to enter. Formats--prints, slides, or digital images--will be accepted. Also: Election of officers and Golden Chanterelle Award nominations
