August 20 Foray - Pioneer Park

(Blaine) Starting Time at 10:00AM

Take 35W north and leave the freeway at Exit 32. There go northwest on 95th Avenue, which becomes Radisson Road, for about 6 miles until it intersects with Highway 14. At 14 take a right (east) for about ½ mile to the park located on the north side of the road. An alternative route would be to take Exit 33 and then go north on Lexington Avenue to Highway 14 and then left (west) on Highway 14 for about 2 miles to the park on the north side of the road. Meet at the parking lot.

August 27 Foray - Nerstrand Big Woods State Park

Starting Time at 10:00AM

Meet at picnic parking lot. From Northfield, Minnesota take Highway 246 south until it intersects with Highway 29. Take Highway 29 west to the park entrance on the north side of the road. Meet at the picnic parking lot.

September 10 Foray – Wild River State Park

(Sunrise River Parking Lot) – Starting Time 10:00AM

Take Interstate 35 north to North Branch., then go east (right) on Highway 95 until you cross over the Sunrise River. Just past the river take a left (north) on Hwy 9 (Sunrise Road) to Sunrise, Minnesota. Cross the river on the near north side of the village and take a right onto Ferry Road, the first dirt road, and go north to the parking lot at the end of the road where we will meet. Be sure to go to Sunrise River parking near the village of Sunrise, Minnesota, and not to the main park!

September 24 Foray – Wild River State Park

Starting Time 10:00AM

Take Interstate 35 north to North Branch, then go east (right) on Highway 95 to the village of Almelund, Minnesota. From there go northeast on Highway 12 to park entrance. This foray will be at the main park. Meet at the picnic parking lot.

October 8 Foray – Frontenac State Park

Starting Time 10:00AM

Take Highway 61 south from Red Wing, Minnesota about 9 miles to Highway 2 and take a right; this leads to the park entrance on the eastside of the highway. Meet at the park parking lot.
