Announcement

Midwest Wild Mushroom Festival

Aug. 26-28 at Beaver Creek Reserve in Fall Creek, Wisconsin (near Eau Claire)

This is going to be a fun and educational event celebrating the bounty of wild food, including plants, mushrooms, fish, and game. There will be a banquet of wild food dishes prepared by the participants (with prizes awarded for the best), plant and mushroom identification walks, and workshops and seminars dealing with preparation and cooking. Plus outdoor-related fun and games.
The guest speaker will be Teresa Marrone of Minneapolis, author of the recently published foraging book "Abundantly Wild." We are honored to have her present.

The cost is only $85 per adult or $50 per child. This includes meals and two nights lodging (options of cabin or tent camping)

For more information or to download a registration form, go to http://www.northerntrailspress.com/wildharvest/register.

I can also send a brochure on the event by mail to anybody interested who wants more details.

Thank you,

Sam Thayer
