MMS Foray Schedule for Summer and Fall 2002

August 17: Nerstrand Big Woods State Park Foray
Meet at 10:00 AM in the parking lot.

August 31: St. Croix State Park Foray
Meet at 11:00 AM at the Fire Tower. For information on the location of the Tower, get a St. Croix State Park Map, which is available at the park entrance.

September 7: Steven's Creek Landing Foray (St. Croix)
Meet at 11:00 AM at the Steven's Creek Landing parking lot. Go north on I-35 to Rush City, then east to the stop sign at Highway 361. Turn north on 361 and go 1.4 miles to County Road 3, then turn east and go 5.4 miles until forced to go north and then continue for 1.4 miles. Follow the sign saying Steven's Creek Landing.

September 28: Lake Maria State Park Foray
Meet at 10:00 AM at the picnic area parking lot. The park may be reached from the south via Highway 39 and Wright County 111, or from the north via Highway 8, 39 and County Road 111.

October 12: Mille Lacs Wildlife Area Foray
Meet at 11:00 at the parking lot. Go north on Highway 65 to Mora; turn
west on Highway 6 continue to Highway 47. Cross Highway 47 and continue on the gravel road to a Tee in road, then turn right (north) on Highway 10, which is another gravel road that may, or may not, be marked and go north until you reach the parking lot.

October 19: Linwood Lake/Carlos Avery Wildlife Area Foray
Meet at 10:00 AM at the Park and Ride lot in Wyoming, which is located on the Southwest corner of I -35 and County Road 22.

NAMA Calendar

October 10-13: The 2002 NAMA Foray will be held at Diamond Lake, Oregon. A descrition and a registration form are now available on the NAMA web site: http://www.namyco.org.
