Have you renewed your MMS membership? Now is the time! Annual dues are:
Student: $15
Individual: $20
Family: $25

Membership in the MMS is open to everyone. The annual fee is just $15 for students, $20 for individuals, or $25 for households, payable upon joining and when renewing. Memberships are on a calendar year basis; renewals are due in January of each year.

MMS Membership benefits include:

• Identification workshops
• Collecting trips during the fruiting season
• Lectures by invited professionals
• Newsletter keeping members current on local and out of state events

To join the MMS, download the Membership Application Form. Complete the application form, sign the waiver, and return to the address listed. We require everyone who participates in MMS activities to read and sign the waiver that is included on the membership form. This waiver protects you and the MMS by informing you about the potential dangers in mycology.

NAMA Association Discount

The MMS is affiliated with the North American Mycological Society (NAMA). MMS members joining NAMA through our organization pay a discounted NAMA membership fee. Additional information about NAMA can be found on the Internet at www.namyco.org.

Why the Waiver Release Form?

The MMS Member Waiver Release Form, which all members are required to sign, is not meant to make members anxious or fearful about participating in the many and varied club sponsored activities. The Waiver form reduces the legal liability of the club and its members, it also serves as an annual reminder to our members of the need to be extremely cautious when in the field looking for wild mushrooms and when determining which wild mushrooms are suitable for eating. The Waiver form covers all incidents that might occur during participation in MMS activities and programs.
